It's mostly just me reading to Vake. But Vake's got his favorite books memorized by now and it is pretty cute to watch him "read along" with me.
We're working on our letter flashcards right now- he's basically got the capital letters figured out for the most part. I am trying not to push too hard- and Eric talked me out of buying the "Your Baby Can Read" kit that I see infomercials for all the time.
Your Baby Can Read works by giving a child a huge sight word vocabulary- it's not really phonics and it is not whole-language, either. SO- we won't be getting it but I have to admit that I'd really like for Vake to be an early reader.
