Strep...again

The last time we had it was Vake's birthday- so it was almost three months ago. But last night little pumpkin was exhausted at bedtime and was feverish and miserable at 9:30 and then again at 6:30. Still reasonably chipper, but I decided to take him to the pediatrician anyway.

And it is strep. Good news is that he hasn't gotten it often enough that he needs tonsils evaluated. Bad news is he's feeling crummy.

  1. Poor kid! Ask Eric: Vake's paternal ancestry is just horrible regarding tonsils--they start out huge and they become infected, abscessed scarred, rotten, stinky, and the repository of strep. As Eric. Ask Left Bank Granny. Ask Great Uncle Mark, MD. Ask Great Aunt Tina. Ask second cousin Kaia. Pediatricians don't jerk out tonsils routinely like they used to--but in some families, they should! Tell the doc. Left Bank Granny
