Saturday morning we started the day with the dying of Easter eggs with our neighbors- the colors are a lot more vibrant in a PAAS kit than they used to be!!
We are lucky to have such good neighbors and we are lucky that their little boy plays so well with Vake.
Doesn't the finished product look great!!!
After the egg dyeing, I took Vake to his friend's birthday party that featured a visit from a F-I-R-E-T-R-U-C-K!!!!You can imagine the excitement/hysteria.
And Vake got to touch the truck
And ride in it, no less!
From there, we went to Babies R Us to help Anne select some things and then Anne, Vake, Louise and I ventured south of the river to see Dad- and then we came back to a huge dinner feast complete with a rabbit cake made by Mom. Yes, cutting it WAS quite the challenge.
But we had someone who was happy to help eat the cake!
Sunday morning we got up, went to church and by the time we were home, the Easter Bunny had dropped by and hidden our eggs- how thrilling...
So we looked for eggs with our friend Oren
And then hid the same eggs again to hunt for again with our friend who was visiting from out of town.
Everyone was definitely tired by the end of the egg hunts!
