So this year, they've gotten a "holiday train." Vake and Huff rode before getting their pictures made- they loved it- which is interesting because they don't like the train that is similar at the Short Pump Museum location.

Children's Museum Christmas
So by now, most of you have seen the picture of the Santa meltdown. I do have to say that the Children's Museum does a GREAT Santaland (and as a Board Member, let me plug the museum- if you live in Richmond, there are TWO awesome locations and you should completely go!!!!).

And then we all went in to wait for Mr. S. Claus. There were these giant bears and the boys were just transfixed.

Getting Caught Up!
It is so hard to believe it is the holidays again- you all are going to have to bear with me, because I've not been good about taking pictures while the blog has been down because of our computer issue but I am hoping to get back on track!!!
On Saturday, we had a very fancy trip downtown to have breakfast with Santa and Huff and his parents. When we got home, we did some playing outside. Vake was still wearing his Santa outfit- too cute!!!
He's such a little boy now- climbing, jumping, digging, and experimenting all the time. He's also nonstop- go go go go seems to be the name of the game.

But he will stop to hug his Daddy- Daddy is beloved above all at this house.

I got some closeups of the smocking. People, I believe that we may be entering the end of the smocked era. *Tear*. The manufacturers don't make these clothes bigger than a 4t. This is probably a good thing for baby Vake or else I'd dress him this way until he was 8.

No, I am not kidding. Not even a little bit. I mean, how much do you love these elves!!!!

THANK GOODNESS!!!
I know you all are also breathing a deep sigh of relief- the computer is THANK GOD back on.
In other happy news, I almost destroyed my office because I was convinced that I had lost the CD copy of the picture of little pumpkin with Santa Claus from last year.
Tragedy averted. I found it and it is now backed up on the hard drive that Eric got us.
Yes, we are now the people who back up. I've always wondered what that felt like. Strangely safe and secure.
Yip!

Shhh...
...Eric's upstairs right now hooking up the computer. No cursing but also doesn't sound like it is working yet.
We'll keep you posted.

Progress Report- the computer
We are *dangerously* close to a Daddy reinstallation of the computer! Yip!
It's been picked up- thank you Taren and Mommy. It has even been carried upstairs to the office- thank you Mary Sabra.
All we need is for Daddy to connect the cords and we'll be back in business.

'Tis the season!
Remember my sweet little baby boy with the chubby legs and the bare feet for his first Santa visit last year?
We've changed our tune about Santa somewhat in 2010!!!!
This is a little boy who is NOT happy about the Santaland experience. NOT AT ALL happy.
In his defense, he didn't sleep at all well last night (he ate something that didn't agree with him) and took a four hour nap today and then we got stuck waiting in a long long line for the "Legendary Santa" and despite the fact that Vake is pretty brave, he likes to know people before he will just agree to sit on their laps.
I don't think I have a pic like this- Mary Sabra apparently refused to buy the one of Anne screaming so that moment was lost forever. Eric's got the right idea- it will be fun to have in years to come- but right now, it is just "too soon."
